Jilin University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, located in Changchun, Jilin Province. College of Basic Medical Sciences of Jilin University is a college with rich teaching heritage and excellent teaching and research tradition. Pharmacology Excellence Training Program in Countries along the Belt and Road enrol students in Pharmacology, whose main research directions include Pathogenesis and Intervention Research of Chronic Diseases in the Elderly, Nano Oncology Pharmacology, Pathogenesis and Transformation Research of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases, etc. Specific research content involves obesity, diabetes and diabetes complications pathogenesis, drug and cell therapy research, the evolution of natural aging to Alzheimer's disease molecular mechanism and cell therapy research, nanoparticle tumor diagnosis and treatment integrated research, organ targeted fibrosis mechanism and treatment research, ischemic heart and brain injury mechanism and new intervention targets, the development of new drugs and clinical transformation research.

Pharmacology is a bridge discipline between basic medicine and clinical medicine, medicine and pharmacy in Jilin University. After more than 80 years of construction and development, the pharmacological discipline of College of Basic Medical Sciences of Jilin University has formed a research team with stable research direction and reasonable personnel structure, which has certain influence in China and abroad. It has Jilin Provincial Key Laboratory of Drug Research and Development, Science and Technological Innovation Center for Preclinical Pharmacodynamic Evaluation of New drugs, Nano Engineering Laboratory, Diabetes Key Research Laboratory, Chinese Medicine Second-Level Laboratory, etc., and has cultivated more than 60 master's students and 20 doctoral students in the past five years.

Ⅰ. Program Form

4. Training Form and Funding Period: Two-Year Master's Degree Program. The “1+1” model is adopted, means students will complete the full-time basic courses and research work in the Chinese program colleges and universities in the first academic year, and complete the preparation work of the dissertation. In the second academic year, students will return to their own country to complete the dissertation according to their own work practice, and defend the dissertation in China according to the requirements of the colleges and universities.

Ⅱ. Application Requirement

1. An applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be under the age of 45 in good health both mentally and physically.

2. An applicant must have a bachelor's degree or higher degree and at least three years of work experience. Those with professional training or work experience related to the proposed program will be given preference.

3. An applicant must fall into one of the following four categories:

(1) A government official at the division chief level (or equivalent level) or above;

(2) A senior manager of an institution or enterprise;

(3) An administrator of a university or scientific research institution;

(4) Those who have relevant employment or internship experience in international organizations.

Ⅲ. Scholarship Content

Tuition fees, on-campus apartment accommodation fees, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance in China will be provided.

Ⅳ. Training Program & Program Characteristics

1. Periods of Schooling & Training Form

(1) Periods of Schooling: Two years.

First Semester:

From September 2025 to January 2026, complete the concentrated courses in Jilin University and be assigned the tutors.

Second Semester:

From February 2026 to July 2026, study professional courses, accumulate scientific research data, and complete the proposal report and dissertation preparation work.

Third Semester:

From September 2026 to December 2026, collect paper materials and scientific research data, start paper writing.

Fourth Semester:

From January 2027 to May 2027, complete the paper writing, pre-defense and defense work (the pre-defense and defense process can be completed online and offline in accordance with the regulations and requirements of the graduate university for postgraduate defense).

From June 2027 to July 2027, complete the graduation procedures.

(2) Training Form

The program adopts the training form of centralized teaching in English and individual guidance, and implements the three-stage training: Degree Course Learning + Research Ability Improvement + Special Subject Thesis.
