Hosted by Jilin Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department, the Education Department of Jilin Province, Jilin Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Jilin Provincial People’s Government Information Office and organized by Jilin Provincial International Talent Service Center, Jilin Provincial Foreigner Cultural Service Base and Management Committee of Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Jilin Cultural Exchanges Achievement Exhibition and Award Ceremony took place on December 20th in Changchun International Conference and Exhibition Center. The Exhibition follows the spirit of 19th Communist Party Congress “tell the stories of China” and aims at “spreading Guandong (northeastern China) culture and telling the stories of Jilin”. It will enable more foreign friends to understand Jilin, love Jilin and fit into Jilin.
Handicraft “Salt Painting: Beauty without Borders” by Indian student Sunkara Mangala Bhargav and photo “Marvel” by Indian student Sunil Kumar Lalwani won the first prize. Artwork “My Love” by Indian student Somala Veni Priya and photo “Portrait of a Model” by Pakistani student Muhammad Atif Bilal took the third prize. “Northeast Tobacco Pipe” by Nigerian student Nwankwo Happiness Ijeoma and “Northeast Shufty” co-created by Norwegian student Farhiyo Kamal Hassan and Somali student Shamsa Farah Abdalla and “Excellence of China” by Nigerian student Nnanwuba Uzodigwe Emmanuel won honorable mention. Group song and dance created by international students from 31 countries in JLU received the third prize in performing.
